Born in France, Holeg Spies comes from the world of indie music and stylistic fusion, with 15 years of experience in production and musical sound design and an international fanbase in his own right both as a music creator and performer. He has also created an extensive discography of genre-busting albums.
While their inimitable, darkly lyrical style is constantly evolving, it's immediately recognizable through the array of genres they have worked in, and perhaps most at home in projects with a hint of darkness. Currently they are in preparation for a number of projects with directors including Patrick Tatopoulos (director of the blockbuster Underworld: Rise of the Lycans) and Omar Naim (director of Final Cut starring Robin Williams).

Think Yin & Yang. Think Jekyll & Hyde.
Journalist P.Colton writes:
“The year is 2005. Savage & Spies meet by chance in an online music forum. They share ideas and quickly establish mutual respect. In the spirit of experimentation, pushing musical boundaries, and artistic passion they decide to collaborate. Think Yin & Yang. Think Jekyll & Hyde. Think a classically trained prodigy and a highly acclaimed electronic underground pioneer creating an entirely new entity.
"'We are on polar opposite ends of the spectrum musically, and yet it’s precisely this difference that makes our music resonate', offers Spies in a conspiratorial tone.
"And different they are indeed: Savage played his first violin concerto with orchestra at age 12 while Spies was hosting outrageous 'sonic exploration' parties, jamming madly on vintage synths. At twenty-one, Savage was performing recitals of Paganini Caprices while Spies pioneered an avant-garde electronica movement throughout Europe and Asia.
In his late twenties, Savage was appointed principal first violinist in one of the world’s great orchestras, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London, while Spies and the 5000+ flash mobs he typically drew to events infamously received police escorts out of industrial sites from New York to Tokyo. Shortly thereafter the two artists met and began their collaboration.
"Seven years later, and by virtue of their dialectic process and their creative approach to musical sound design, they have morphed into a seamless musical voice, and a singular mad genius: Savage & Spies.
"Savage & Spies’ music has been described as ‘darkly lyrical, mysteriously provocative, titillating, tantalizing, and even hair-raising,’ however, their music is best experienced and not described…”
