| | :. A collaboration between
Patrick Savage & Holeg Spies,
leading European film composers
With many credits on both sides of the Atlantic and in Japan, Savage & Spies are unique musical personalities from opposite ends of the musical spectrum, however the combination of their talents has produced an extraordinary sound-world.
Patrick and Holeg are teaming-up with NBC/Universal-based Vanquish Motion Pictures for a slate of action films together with Radar Pictures (The Last Samuraï) and executive producer Eric McLeod (Pirates of the Caribbean).
They are currently working with director Jane Spencer for Men don't Lie, a drama romance filming in London, starring Michael Madsen (Sin City, Kill Bill). With Chris Downs for Fetch (drama, horror) filming in Kansas. And, with Omar Naim, author/director of Robin Williams' Final Cut (Lionsgate, 2004) on two features in development ...
:. One classical, one indie,
fusing musical worlds
for motion pictures
Their work as a duo fuses Savage's rare melodic gift and orchestral prowess with Spies' eclectic, modernist sound-world.
Trained at the Royal College of Music in London, Savage (Australian/British) is an orchestral music specialist and principal first violin in the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He notably worked on major films including "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy.
Gifted in the dramatic fusion of musical styles, Spies (French) is a worldwide travelled composer/producer/remixer known for his eclectic and undefinable style. From indie rock to electronica through world and classical music, he has worked with major record companies such as Universal Japan, BMG and Polygram. First time noticed in the film industry thanks to his work on the trailer of Hollywood thriller The Hitcher (Michael Bay). | |
